2. ब्रह्मणस्पति सूक्त(Brahmaṇaspati-sūkta)

Meaning: I bow down to Bhagavān Gaṇapati
ॐ एकदन्ताय विद्धमहे, वक्रतुण्डाय धीमहि, तन्नो दन्ति प्रचोदयात्
Meaning - We know Ekadanta (the one with a single tusk), and we meditate on Vakratuṇḍa (the one with a curved trunk). May Dantī (the one with a tusk) inspire us in that knowledge and meditation.

वक्रतुण्डो महाकायः कोटिसूर्यसमप्रभः ।एकदंष्ट्रः कृष्णपिङ्गो विकटो धूम्रवर्णकः ॥
Meaning - Vakratunda (the one with a curved trunk), Mahākāya (the one with a massive body), with the radiance equal to that of ten million suns; Ekadanta (the one with a single tusk), Kṛṣṇa-piṅga (dark-coloured), Vikata (the one with a monstrous form), and Dhūmravarṇa (the one with a smoky colour).
